STEREO tested the new miracle box
Back in the box!
We set the standard high from the outset and tried the resonance trap on the Nagra PL-P preamp.
This is a tough task as this compact amp does not have a humming transformer in its housing and,
additionally, it is a very solid assembly.

HiFi+ reviews in its issue 52 the all-new Ceraball Universal
Finite Elemente Ceraball Universal by Roy Gregory
With but a single quartet of the new Universals to play with I headed straight for the CD player. Sure enough, even under a top-end machine
like the Audio Research CD7 the little feet worked their, opening out the soundstage, adding focus and presence to images, life to dynamics.
Unreservedly recommended.

finite elemente CeraBall, CeraPuc and CeraBase
Equipment Support
Using ceramic balls to couple equipment directly to its supporting surface,
these finite elemente feet represent another example of the latest and far
more sophisticated approach to dealing with the mechanical energy within components.
Equally
effective under electronics, racks or speakers, the three different sizes will
accommodate different loads. Best value is represented by the Cerapucs, which
serve in almost all situations and are especially useful between speakers and
bare wood floors. The larger CeraBases might seem costly until you experience
their effects, especially under equipment racks (only those with very deep pockets
will consider their application under individual components). Beautifully presented,
both the Pucs and Bases also improve the appearance of equipment, making them
a win-win solution.

Award Winner: Pagode Signature Wall wins the Image HiFi Award 2006
image hifi Award 2006
image hifi only makes these much sought-after awards every twelve issues, so every two years. And in 2006 we've once again taken a few liberties and included a surprise or two - we hope you enjoy the results of our discussions and listening tests. Ladies and gentlemen, the image hifi Award 2006 goes to ...
The 2006 award winners can be seen as an "editor's choice", a sort of recommendation
across all equipment categories, critics' favourites and magazine conferences;
Everyone had a chance, even the exotic, the exclusive and the unusual. Our choice
was based on our wealth of experience, mutual trust among our writers and our
knowledge of the latest developments, and not forgetting a certain wide-ranging
appeal as an all-encompassing principle to ensure some suspense. An image hifi
award should be understood as a recommendation to our readers to have a closer
look at the prize-winners and their products, but it is not a call to combine
all of the components wildly with each other.

Michael Fremer produces Turntable Set-Up DVD
"How to set-up a turntable"
Turntable Set-Up DVD - produced by Michael Fremer, contributor to the U.S. magazine
STEREOPHILE. And the featured equipment support is: pagode? Master Reference
This year's spring will come up with an exciting DVD that cares about setting-up
turntables, cartridges and other analogue topics. Michael Fremer produced this
DVD partly at the famous Sterling Sound studio in New York City and in his own
listening room. The final disc will include a tech section explaining all of
the terminology complete with animated graphics. On top of that, a PDF file
embedded in the disc's DVD-ROM section including even greater technical detail
will allow buyers to print out a complete tutorial. That a perfect music listening
experience requires also an excellent equipment support, Michael Fremer demonstrates
by using a double-wide pagode° Master Reference.

image hifi 05-2005 - x-perienced: Pagode Wall sound test
The ultimate equipment support, or "Up against the wall!"
The problem isn't new: a high-end unit can only play as well as the base on which it stands. This maxim applies particularly to the mechanical microcosm of turntable reproduction.
Translated
into high-end vocabulary this means that the music flow is excellent, as is
the tonal homogeneity, the spatial depiction offers more of an overview than
a front-row perspective. The frequency ends appear simultaneously extended and
perfectly integrated into the overall sound. Piano recordings are a delight.
Recordings, of which I had been previously been rather critical, can now be
enjoyed and you ask yourself why you had been missing them for so long.

Stereoplay 08-2005: Finite Elemente Wall support
Imperturbable
Bad news first: This wall support retails in Germany at 1.650 Euros. But, there
is also good news to tell: The Pagode Master Reference Wall's name is more than
justified. And, worth the money to its full extent as the manufacturer Finite
Elemente put all his knowledge into this superb piece of wood what defeats resonances
intrusing through floor and air: resonators, spiked high-absorption shelf, 3-point
ceramic ball coupling and ball thrust bearing adjustment. The attachment to
the wall is realized by two 10 mm (!) Allen screws that fit into metal sleeves
anchored inside the wall by means of an injection mortar. This professional
fixing system is supplied by the German company Fischer and holds easily more
than the suggested 120 pounds load capacity.
HIFI Plus 11-2004: The Finite Elemente Pagode HD-03 Master Reference rack - best of class
Firm foundations
...the finite elemente HD-03 making a compelling case for its sophisticated
approach, and standing as a compelling benchmark for the next round of contenders.
