"I've
been struggling for years with various shelving systems. Nothing was ever
flexible enough to cope with moving house, changing furnishings and accommodating
new equipment. With the Spider you've created a system that meets all
these requirements. Today I have two Spiders standing close to a 150 year-old
cabinet and it all looks great. It isn't really a piece of furniture,
but more a work of art in its design. And it's easy-maintenance, the equipment
cables can be led through easily and comfortably.
The sound is the best that I have ever tested or heard – insofar
as this can be judged." |

"The
innovative, airy and light design and the good finishing at this price

"Best
rack I ever heard, it sounds even better than having equipment standing
straight on the floor. I'm also a very impatient buyer and change equipment
frequently, without the versatility of the Spider this would frankly be
a pain in the butt everytime I change components that differ in size!
Ceraballs, in my opinion, make sound tighter and more
dynamic without sounding dry or analytical, I really like them but find
them a bit expensive, especially when considering the fact that you'll
need them for all levels in a Spider rack!" |

"As
this is my first rack, the positive experience wasn't surprising, but
was made somewhat difficult by my special circumstances (old building
with parquet flooring, strong vibrations).
The overall sound of the system became clearly more bass-accentuated with
much less booming, which apparently was caused less by spatial resonance
than by the resonance of the overall system. At the same time I (sometimes)
achieved punctiform localization with an almost three-dimensional depiction
of the soundstage in acoustic recordings. The stage became clearly broader
and, with the appropriate software, even reached further than the actual
loudspeakers! The depth of the presentation also increased considerably.
The equipment even surpasses itself in parts. On the other hand I have
to ask myself why other manufacturers don't build resonance-optimized
equipment. I was totally satisfied with the supplied R.C.I elements,
but just out of curiosity I tried out the Ceraballs – and I now
have all my components on them. Here again control has increased considerably
and sharpness has disappeared. Spatiality, deep bass, bass spacing and
breadth of the presentation – all an improvement. A recent test
with Ceraballs under a unit (power supply accessory), that was placed
directly on the floor, gave me a shock: the decoupling and resonance
dissipation with the Ceraballs was clearly better than any other attempt
at decoupling. But that has nothing to do with the rack. In summary
a great rack at a low price without a trace of bulkiness.."
